India are set to take on China in an international friendly on Saturday, The game will be India’s toughest encounter in over two years. The Indian Players are confident ahead of the clash and hope to put on a great show.

Speaking to AIFF Jeje Lalpekhlua said “The result is obviously important but the most important aspect is how we play the game,The team-work is important. We have to work together. If we are able to do this according to our plan, we can get a positive result.”

Star striker Sunil Chhetri looks excited ahead of the encounter against China and said “I’m happy that we are playing a team like China. I’m very excited because they are a quality opponent and they have always been a respected side in Asia.”
He further added “To  face them at their home is going to be a tough challenge but this is a challenge that we should face now. Our form away from home hasn’t been particularly very good. This is a great opportunity for us to take a good account of ourselves.”

Sandesh Jhingan who is selected as the captain for the upcoming encounter looks at the fixture as a chance to improve the national team ahead of Asia Cup. He said “The first and foremost thing is to improve as a team and as an individual. Results of a match always matter but we must focus on our performance primarily.”
He also praised the standard of Chinese football and added “We are eagerly looking forward to the game. They are a respectable side. They have got huge success as a national team. Money is flowing in the league. Their ranking rightly reflects their good work towards improving the level of football,” said Jhingan.
