The 2014 edition of Durand Cup is for the first time being held outside Delhi, in Goa. The preliminary rounds of the Durand Cup will be held starting from later this month.
The draw for the main rounds will take place tomorrow, i.e. 11th October in the Bambolim Stadium Goa as 20 teams will be participating this time around.
The participating teams include a number of present and former I-League teams like Bengaluru FC who are present I-League champions, Salgaocar FC, Air India, Sporting Clube de Goa, Mohammedan Sporting, United Sportsand Churchill Brothers.
The final rounds of the Durand Cup 2014 football tournament will kick-off on 29th October and the final will be played on 8th November. The organizers are also developing a theme song for the first time. Air chief marshall Arup Raha is going to be the chief guest of the draw ceremony tomorrow.
