India Go Down Fighting Against UAE

Indian Football Team dominated UAE in their second fixture of the Asian Cup in Abu Dhabi but lack of finishing cost the blue tigers the game. UAE scored late in both halfs as the won the game 2-0.

India’s first chance came in early in the first half when Sandesh Jhingan missed a free header from a corner. The UAE goalkeeper made 2 great saves from Ashique Kurniyan and Sunil Chhetri to deny India the lead.

UAE opened the scoring through Mubarak in 41st minute against the run of play as Indian defence was caught sleeping that was UAE only clear chance in the enter half.Sunil Chhetri was inches away from equalizing late in the second half as his shot went wide.

India hit the post twice in the second half and dominated majority of the proceedings. Jeje Lalpekhlua who came on as subsitute made quite an impact but he to couldn’t score from a couple of decent chances.

UAE sealed the victory late in the second half as Saleems through ball found Ali Mabkhout who slotted in his 45th international goal.
