Croatia take in Denmark at Nizhny Novgorod stadium today for a place in the quarter finals. Croatia have had a terrific campaign winning all three of their group stage games pretty comfortably. Denmark on the other hand have been solid defensively and have not conceded a goal from open play.

Croatia will be favourites going into this tie. They have a superior squad of players and arguably been one of best performing teams in this World Cup. The have had a right balance in defence and attack so far in this tournament scoring 7 goals and conceding only 1.

The strength of Croatia would be their midfield consisting of Luka Modric,Ivan Rakitic and Ivan Perisic who are amongst the world’s best. Mario Mandzukic and Kramarić will be key figures in their front line.

Denmark strength would be their defence led by Chelsea youngster Andreas Christensen. They have not conceded a goal from open play and have been solid defensively throughout the tournament.

Denmark do have some quality players going forward Tottenham’s attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen and Celta’s  Pione Sisto will be a key figures. They are expected to play on the counter attack as they have done this whole tournament.

Yusuf Poulsen will return after completing his suspension for Denmark whilst Croatia are also expected to have their full squad available for the game.
