According to Dempo SC, club chairman, Mr. Shrinivas Dempo, the club management has full confidence in Dempo coach Arthur Papas and is hoping that he joins the team soon.
Papas is currently in Australia because of his personal family situation and has been granted a leave for a couple of weeks. In his absence Asst. Coach Mauricio Afonso is officiating as the Head Coach.
Arthur Papas has lately being under pressure as Dempo’s performance in the current I-League has been poor. Fans have also complained about his bias towards former Arrows players which is resulting in Goan youngsters being sidelined.
