Manchester United deal with Indian companyEnglish Premier League giants, Manchester United has signed a three year agreement with India’s largest tyre maker, Apollo Tyres.

Apollo Tyres will become the club’s official tyre partner in the UK and India and create football-based play zones for local communities in both countries using recycled rubber.

Chairman of the Apollo Tyres, Onkar S Kanwar said,

“It is a matter of great pride for us to introduce a new healthy living initiative under our corporate social responsibility (CSR), to create new play zones for the youth in the UK and India. This is a very important partnership for us as a company and clearly demonstrates our global ambitions for our business and the brand. We believe the impact of this relationship will be significant in helping to make Apollo a globally recognizable brand.”

Earlier this month, HCL, another Indian company, had signed a deal with Turkish giants Galatasaray.
