Premier League Soccer: Barasat named Uro Musketeers, to rope in Baichung


Premier League SoccerHaving bought the Barasat team for a whopping Rs. 25.15 crore, the franchisee are now setting their eye on making it big and entertaining.

The Barasat team has been named The Uro Musketeers and none other than Baichung Bhutia is going to be their brand ambassador. Earlier in the auction for players and coaches held in Taj Hotel in Kolkata, the team bagged Hernan Crespo for a whopping $840,000 as their icon player and Teitur Thordarson of Iceland as their coach for $210,000.

Their other buys are Park Yoon Chui,Christian Lara and Joaquin Dotero

The Kolkata franchisee that was sold for lesser amount than either Barasat or Siliguri is owned by the Camelia Group who are incidentally the only team to be previously associated with Kolkata football circuit. They are also in talks with several stars including Saurav Ganguly to rope in a brand ambassador.

Kolkata have Peter Reid as their coach and the legendary Robbie Fowler as their iconic player.
