Costa Rican international joins Indian football club Churchill Brothers

Costa Rican footballer, Cristian Lagos  has joined Goa based Indian football club, Churchill Brothers.

29 year old Cristian Lagos is in fine form this season in the recently concluded Costa Rican primera division for his team Santos De Gaupilles where he was loaned by his club Deportivo Saprissa. Lagos has also played two matches for Costa Rica national team and has a goal against Nicaragua in the Copa Centroamericana. Cristian Lagos said to Costa Rican media that playing abroad was one of his dream and he is glad that this opportunity has came his way.

Churchill Brothers, champions in the last edition of I-League, have performed unexpectedly poor this season and are looking to revamp their team by adding quality foreigners. Currently they have Egyptian playmaker, Abdelhamid Shabana, while all other foreigners have been released. It is rumored that they will soon sign two more good quality foreigners.

Churchill Brothers would be looking to play in AFC Cup and thus a rebuilding a quality team is necessary.

 The financial aspects of the deal has not been disclosed openly.
