A shocking news is coming in from the Salt Lake stadium where tension erupted in the East Bengal vs Mohun Bagan big Kolkata derby.

Odafa was shown red card in the extra time of the first half. This irked the Mohun Bagan fans. Some of them were equipped with stone and concrete chunks who started throwing it towards the referee and the players.

The police then started pushing the fans back using force. The kinds of arms that were recovered are shocking.

Police recovered long iron rods wrapped with nails around it along with glass bulbs, concrete blocks and bottles filled with sand piled at different places in the gallery.

In one of the footage shown by 24 Ghanta, the police team was shown stretchering out kilos of bricks, concrete chuncks and stones that were collected from the galleries.

Not only this, wooden sticks with nails on one side, bottles with alcohol in it and firecrackers were also recovered.

  1. The Law of the Game / League should be strictly applied. Officials, Clubs, Players and Fans who play fault to spoil the beautiful game should be penalised accordingly. May the spirit of the Beautiful Game prevail.

  2. That's really shocking. The MB supporters have gone bizarre. What about the Police checking? Are they only checking the water bottles? I think the spectators are too smart for them. There should be some new rules for EB-MB match. There are no scope of discussing them here. I think the administration and the police will think this over. This is by far the most shameful day of Bengal Football in modern era. I think all the MB supporters are ashamed of their club officials' and players' behavior today. They should be or, are they all same. MB should be severely punished. The punishment should be such that no other team would dare to treat the referee or the game in such manner. MB is a real ignominy to the game of Soccer.
